01/ Can You Help Me?
Do you struggle with back pain, headaches, a weak immune system, or poor digestion? Are you lacking the energy you need to get through your day? Are you frustrated that your doctors have been unable to help you?
We understand. It’s not so much about the pain or discomfort – you’re tough right? It’s that it stops you from doing the things you need, want and love to do.
Maybe the back pain that zaps your energy and distracts you from your work and family or those ’normal’ headaches that make it so hard to focus and turns you into a ticking time bomb.
The worst part is not knowing what it is or why it’s happening. It’s no wonder you are frustrated.
02/ What Are Your Options?
There’s a wide variety of options offered by both medical and alternative practitioners that are focused on pain and symptom (collateral damage) relief, and they do an excellent job.
You may start with a pill, which turn off pain receptors or decrease the symptoms – a quick (potentially temporary) fix. If that does not work, possibly some physical therapy to strengthen muscular weakness, address spasm, or increase mobility. Potentially, injection protocols could be utilized to calm the site of pain. When all prove to be ineffective, more invasive procedures like surgery may be recommended.
All of these treatment programs can prove to be effective in the appropriate time and place but have different goals. As your Annapolis Chiropractor, our goal at TruCentered Chiropractic Care is to address the CORE problem not just the collateral damage.
03/ Do You Have A Core Problem?
It’s become clear from working with hundreds of people that problems such as pain, headaches, muscle spasms, and lack of energy (collateral damage) are almost always a byproduct of a deeper issue (core problem).
Unlike traditional chiropractors, whose goals are to manage only symptoms. At TruCentered Chiropractic Care, our focus is NeuroSpinal Restoration through the use of the Life By Design Chiropractic Method™.
Our examination process allows us to identify whether or not a core problem exists that could be limiting your health in ways you may feel, but more often in ways that you don’t.
04/ What Can You Expect?
Honesty. The first step is determining if you are in the right place. We don’t want to waste your time or ours.
A complimentary consultation will always be offered in order for the doctor to learn about you, your health conditions and your health objectives. (Just a reminder that a consultation is a conversation, not a commitment).
The doctor will explain all the details of the office – the type of care we provide and how things work at our practice. Ultimately, you’ll be armed with the right information, so you can make the best decision for your health needs.
By the end of the conversation, if the doctor feels like he can help, the doctor will recommend a Comprehensive Neuro-Spinal Examination to gain a better understanding of what is going on.
After the examination has been concluded, the doctor will review all your results and develop specific recommendations for you that include:
Exactly what is going on
What options you have
How we can help you
How long it will take
How much it will cost
Once all your questions are answered and you and your doctor come to an agreement on your individualized course of care, you can start immediately.

Let us make something crystal clear, chiropractic is NOT a cure or treatment for any disease, condition or symptom; however, when your spine and nervous system is working optimally, your ability to heal, to recover, and to be healthy drastically improves!
The symptoms and conditions listed above (and many more) are most often what we call collateral damage, caused by a myriad of core problems – one of which is the Atlas Displacement Complex present in your neck that can affect how your brain and body function and communicate.
Our job is to determine if the collateral damage that you are currently experiencing are a result of a core problem located in your spine and nervous system.
If they are, we can help; if they are not we will let you know and refer you to the appropriate health care professional.
Once I go to a chiropractor, will I have to go forever?
Should you choose to discontinue care, this does not necessarily mean that your health will regress. However, after you have worked so hard to regain that which you had once lost, your health, would it not make sense to get your nervous system checked periodically?
How long before I see results?
While we are similar in our anatomical make-ups, we all have had different life experiences that greatly impact our health. Because of this, it is difficult to determine the amount of care that will be necessary without all the pertinent details procured by a consultation and comprehensive NeuroSpinal examination.
However, based on our years of clinical experience, we have seen some clients experience results almost instantaneously, while most start to notice significant changes within the first 3-6 weeks of their care.
Do I get adjusted each visit?
You will be given complementary recommendations throughout the course of care in the office which is intended to help you achieve and maintain an aligned state.
If I gotten relief, why do I need to keep coming?
Many feel significant relief in discomfort following the first few visits. Our goal is not just to provide relief but to create a situation where the spinal stresses that created the issue are minimized, fortified and you no longer need to be adjusted regularly.
This level of care can involve significant work on your part. Although we can’t always achieve this result with a client, it is this situation that provides optimal long-term benefit.
Symptoms (Collateral Damage) are the last to show up and the first to leave (think of how cancer or heart attacks occur). Being symptom-free does not necessarily mean healing has completed or that you are in optimal alignment.
Once your body begins showing sign that the structures have been fortified and the alignment is stabilizing for an extended period of time, the recommended times between visits will be lengthened.
If I don't have any pain, can I still come in?
We feel that prevention and optimization is better than reactive, distress care.
Our assessment includes objective measures that are independent from your subjective symptoms. Thus, it is best to be assessed periodically to ensure that if things have shifted but feel well a correction can be made to prevent your body from being accustomed to a misaligned state which could lead to spinal deterioration and/or pain.
What if I'm pregnant?
Getting checked regularly while pregnant is a great way to relieve the added stress on your spine with the weight gain. It can also assist with sciatic pain – the inflammation of the sciatic nerve that runs from your lower back down through legs to your feet.
It is also important to maintain pelvic balance, which is often times thrown off as your belly grows and your posture changes.
Besides making you feel better during pregnancy, getting checked regularly can also help control nausea, prevent a potential C-section, and has even been linked to reducing the amount of time
some women spend in labor.
But My Baby Is Breeched?
A breeched baby does not mean an automatic cesarean section. We, at TruCentered Chiropractic Care, are trained in Webster Technique for intra-uterine constraint. This is a safe and gentle correction which removes constraint in the uterus allowing the baby to turn head down into an optimal birthing position.
Mothers often only learn of their baby’s positioning between 36 and 38 weeks.
It is encouraged to learn and be aware of your baby’s position as early as possible and maintain proper posture to ensure optimal positioning of the baby for birth.
